Dec 18, 2006 by nick r | Posted in Allergies
INFOMERCIALS SAY THAT IONIC BREEZE IS THE Fit , HELPS TO GIVE OFF OXYGEN AND FILTERS THE AIR WITH A REUSABLE Run THAT LASTS FOREVER, IONS THEY RELEASE INTO YOUR Available CAN INFACT BE HARMFUL TO A PERSON WITH ASMA AND Undoubtedly ARE TEARING UP THE OZONE LAYER .
Alot, my old man had terrible allergies, after we started using a hepa strainer he now is breathing much better, and his allergies are down to once a year in the pop. Hope this helps you, also I heard that the quadra was better than the hepa but it is hardly a little pricey for us. We're happy with the results.Tangibles Luck.

ionic breeze ozone plate?
Apr 05, 2008 by Ltracer520 | Posted in Chemistry
I have the ionic breeze and every one knows that obsession causes bad ozone. So today i went to buy the ozone guard to add-on. All is it of the ozone wardress is a metal plate.. Does anyone be informed what kind of metal or plate is it? cuz im thinking of doing an homemade one because that ozone watch is too small for my tall quadra.
The slab has a platinum or rare earth coating which converts some of the ozone to oxygen. Some of the lasar printers have a particular 'filter' on them to prevent ozone from exiting the machines. As printers as often as not end up on desks, this means that those filters have to be more efficient to keep exposures low,

Ionic breeze quadra disturbing smell?
Nov 13, 2008 by limez | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I've had my ionic breeze for awhile and at bottom liked. It gave off a nice fresh air foetor. I stopped using it (kinda forgot about it when I moved) for about a year. I then plugged it back in and ran it continuously for a week or more. Cleaning it when needed. All the impetuous it started giving off this bizarre odor. I can't positively describe it except for it almost smells like dirty dish irrigate. I stopped using it for about 8 more months because of this and then started using it in the lodge with my birds. It gave off the same smell. I cleaned it over and over and no imbalance. I decided if I ran it continuously maybe the smell would "labour its way out". That hasn't happened. Now after some googling I found out it is potentially unsafe. The accessories I read said it was ozone, but the ozone gave off the fresh stink. So what is giving off this terrible smell? It gives me headaches and now I'm distressed for myself and my birds (2 budgies and a cockatiel). In the coming should I go with an air filter/hepa filter etc? Thanks for any info about this ambiguousness smell and a good course of action.
I don't recognize what this particular odor is. However, ozone is a toxic gas, and exotic birds are much more quarrelsome to pollutants than humans. I would switch to a HEPA-based air cleaner (which would remove particulates) or a segment that also has a carbon filter (which hits the gasses). It will carry away dust and dander from the birds, and protect the birds from pollutants.
