Is the sharper image ionic breeze with ionic guard still dangerous?
Nov 30, 2007 by Little Foot | Posted in Other - Health
Awhile back, there was a big hype about the ionic breeze producing ozone which is very unsafe to our health. But now they come with these new "ozone guards." I was thoughtful of buying one for my mom, but of course I wouldn't lust after her to submit her to ozone. Does anyone have accurate evidence that these things are safe? Or should I just go with a noisey hepa riddle?
No, even with the catalyst (ozone escort), it still emits a significant amount of ozone.
Here, try this product a substitute alternatively:

What can owners of the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze do now?
Apr 13, 2008 by Confused | Posted in Other - Electronics
Can they get their in dough back or anything? Is there anything conclusive that would urge these owners to turn off their ionic breezes? Thanks.
Ostensibly independent testing found that these electrostatic "air purifiers" do not significantly truncate indoor air pollution, and they generate levels of ozone which may be unsafe to ozone-reactive individuals. (such as older or younger people, or people with unequivocal respiratory conditions.)

Is the air from the Sharper Image Ionic breeze air purifier supposed to smell funny?
Apr 03, 2006 by dreamwithme247 | Posted in Other - Electronics
I decent bought a used ionic breeze air purifier, but the air coming out of it doesn't fetor that great. Is that normal? What's the deal? Thanks!
Yes, I about it's normal. I had one in the office for a while, and even after cleaning it and everything, it smelled a seldom strange. Maybe that's because our noses are so employed to the smell of dirty air.
It's similar to the intuition when you drink distilled water.

Which air filter is better: The HoMedics Brethe or the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze?
Jun 22, 2007 by BUNguyenI | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
The Ionic breeze ionizes air to draw it towards metal plates and lure dirt and dust. The Brethe has a vortex mechanism that creates a mist from tap water and a botanical "chemical" that filters the air. The Brethe is about 60 bucks for a pattern unit and the Ionic breeze is about 120 dollars
I recently bought an Ionizer from Ebay and yes you condign clean the Blades off when it is Dirty. It really works and with all the Allergens in the Air, Pets, Dust, Cigarette Smoke, and Molds its a vast thing to have in the Home..It will also, keep these things out of your Carpets and Curtains. Its well quality the Buy.

I have a Sharper Image Ionic Breeze that when turned on blinks then shuts off told it might be a transformer?
Jul 12, 2007 by STACEY C | Posted in Other - Electronics
I have replaced the bulb which was burnt out. But it still does the same affair. If it is a transformer where is it? Where can I get another one?
It quite works with a normal transformer that you may be able to pick up at air shack. Make sure you clean the trouble collections plates because that could also cause the same problem.
