Does anyone own an Ionic Breeze? If so, does it really work for reducing allergens?
Oct 17, 2006 by Stephanie B | Posted in Allergies
It's too extravagant for me to just go out and buy one instantly. My boyfriend has really bad asthma and allergies and I don't be deficient in to get rid of my cats so I was wondering if anyone had any info. If not about the Ionic Breeze then what other solutions do you judge are better?
I am as a rule very sceptical on those things, but let me tell you they do work well and are worth every penny. Benefit you don't have any filters to change. Just wipe the grid even when it gets dirty. My daughter was born with bad allergies and both my tranquillity and I have allergies too. My daughter was allergic to the cat so we thought we would give it a try and put it not far away from her bed in her room. Well within the first night she could actually breathe and didn't wake up to a self-important nose. So we decided to add another ot the living room with enthusiastic results. The next thing you knew we had them in 5 rooms. Yes we still get allergies, but they have greatly approved. We have had the same machines for over 5 year now and they haven't flat down or anything. Also changing your filter on your airconditioner every month is a gentle idea.Just the regualr $3.00 gobbers at Walmart do the answer. No fancy ones needed when you change them that often. I am sold on the Ionic breezes. We tried some others, but they didn't work well and the filters were profligate prices. We got ours off of Ebay for a lot cheaper. Check into it. I hold they are more than worth it. This is coming from the biggest sceptic in the smashing. Another thing that I love is my Dyson vacuum. It definitely does get all the dirt up off the floor.

Technically Speaking How does the Ionic Breeze Work?
Sep 05, 2006 by fyrechick | Posted in Other - Electronics
I would like to conscious exactly how the Ionic Breeze works with its positive and negative charges if anyone knows?
The dust particles in the air are negatively charged and will embrace to anything with a positive charge (or ground). A slab with a small fan is used in the Ionic Breeze. Older units impartial send out waves of charges with no fan and are totally pacific with the distinct drawback of causing all the particles to attached to to the surfaces in the room, like the floor, tables, and (most noticeably) to your walls. The Ionic Breeze is an update of this technology that tries to keep off dirty walls by forcing the charged particles biography a positively-charged plate with a fan. It works on a much smaller block which is why the room units area so tall, compared to the non-fan units that are about the gauge of a clock radio.

Does the Ionic Breeze work to get smoke smell out of the house? (or) any idea on what purifier does work best?

the "ionic breeze" as seen on TV does nothing (can affirm to my SIL's experience with one). An ozone generator will work, but you can't run it at a very superior setting if there are people or pets in the house, or at least be on another confound if you can.
They are kind of expensive but they work.
You could maybe clear the structure (home?) of living things (I think plants and fish would be O.K. to assign), and then really bomb it with the generator on high for as large as you can, then keep it on at it's minimum setting.

Does Ionic Breeze really work and help with allergies?

Or does orek or sharper tiki work better
After dealing with my son who has nauseating allergies and horrible asthma, I purchased an Ionic Breeze, in point of fact, two of them. They seemed to work okay, and I did see a difference in how he was acting. However, the cleaning and quandary was not good. I then resorted to the Oreck air purifier and purchsed two of them. They work positively AMAZING. I noticed a huge difference in my son in a jiffy. I returned one of the Ionic Breezes and kept the other one. I now have a Oreck in his bedroom and in the basic living room, and the Ionic Breeze in my kitchen.

Does the Ionic Breeze by Sharper Image really work?
Jul 29, 2007 by Always Right | Posted in Other - Electronics
I have done some overture introduction research into the topic and have found good literature usual both ways. Does anyone have an indepth analysis of why this product does/doesn't work? Also, if you bought it, what pattern was it and how much did you pay? I just bought a MIDI model Ionic Breeze (merit for average room size) from Bed, Bath, Beyond and second-hand a 20% off coupon and got it for $199.99 instead of $249.99
I aversion to say it, but the I/B is snake oil. Thoroughly and scientifically tested by Consumer's Trust -whose methodology was independetly reviewed- it flunked.
It gets worse: the gizmo not only doesn't deplete b empty the air, it introduces potentially harmful levels of ozone.
Sharper Double took Consumer's Union to court about it -and dead. Had to pay about a half million to cover CU's defense costs.
The whole homely, sordid tale is here:
http://www.quackwatch.org/14Permissible/ionicbreeze.html
You've "been had."
There is also a new "class action suit" in which Sharper Conception had to refund money to purchasers. Read about it here:
http://www.dmnews.com/cms/dm-gossip/legal-privacy/39770.html
It may be too tardily for you to be compensated under term of the litigation, but, if I were in YOUR shoes I'd imprint the above citations, go back to BB&B and DEMAND a refund. There was NO WAY the corporate people at BB&B didn't be aware what they were selling, or at the very least SHOULD have known.
You're going to win this spat, so GET in the fight.
How strange -the question I asked truthful before this one was about why farts smell bad.
