My Holmes brand Humidifier has white chips coming from metal bulb inside?
Jul 27, 2008 by alisgig03 | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I was cleaning my humidifier out tonight, and found small-scale chips coming from the inside. I poured 3 cups of boiling soda water in and scrubbed around, more larger chips came out. I have been so off one's rocker lately and running that humidifier for 5 days.
Then, went on a voyage out of town for 2 days and feel so much better. I memory it was the robutusin, but now considering that humidifier could be the culprit
. Does anyone be familiar with why humidifiers create litlle chips? and if they could be bad for you.
Thanks
im not unwavering but if you went on vacation and felt better after you left the building. Then my guess would be that its definetly getting you sick.
De facto unhealthy to keep that thing around i would dump it and when you can buy yourself a brand new one.
proper luck!

Adding scented oils to humidifier?
Dec 15, 2006 by animal_mother | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I've bygone the manual to my little Holmes humidifier. I forgot what it said, or if it did, about adding scented oils in the pee. Does anyone know if this would be alright to do without messing up the winnow, or whatever?
What you can do is set a tiny cup above the steam outlet, not blocking the vent, and that lets you get the whiff without worrying about the other components. (If yours has a "remedy cup" already there, just use that.)

Filter free humidifier recommendations?
Dec 13, 2007 by Thomas A | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
Hi, Could anyone please vouch for filter free cool mist humidifiers (3-4 gallon). I am sado-masochistic of replacing hard to find filters of my holmes humidifier.
Thanks
Nope. I got spent of the white dust from a cool mist and went back to a Holmes. The manoeuvre with them is to buy the filters on line and off season so there are plenty nearby.
