How can I install a solar heating system on my new pool?
May 08, 2007 by JorgeandSebastiansMommy | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
We upright signed with the pool company today and they will set up the work to install an inground pool in our yard. I've asked that they put in the life-or-death plumbing so that we can add the solar system later (paying approx $400 for 3 pipes?). How fussy is it to do this? Is this something relatively simple/straightforward? I should add that we have a computer control panel, so according to our leisure pool man, we should be able to hook up to it and have it controlled remotely. So my cast doubt upon is, once it's stubbed for solar, what are the next steps and best fetch approach? Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
I installed my own solar system as immediately as they finished our pool. I didn't have them exactly anything for it. There is only one valve you'll need and one backflow preventer and they both common knowledge with the solar system. Then you just cut into the return line and add the valve which will be at the helm the water to your panels or bypass them. Then add a "Tee" for the heavy water to come back from the panels. Nothing to it. And by the way, instead of hooking our solar system up to the curb panel, we chose to put in an automatic thermostat manage valve.

Is solar water heating system worth installing?
Jan 02, 2008 by sugar | Posted in Green Living
I am philosophy of getting solar water heating system. I have heard some negative comments on usability and growing maintenance. I would like to hear from anyone who has any personal sense in solar water system.
From a purely productive perspective, no; you will never be able to recover the cost of the system via the energy savings you will profit. You may, however, realize other benefits of an intangeble nature. For illustration, it may make you feel better about your self. While these cannot be evaluated using leading economics, they are still worth having. You will have to decide for yourself if the intangeble benefits are good the price.

Has anyone used a solar heating panel system with an Intex pool and filter? Do they work?

Lake store personnel say the solar panel systems won't employment because the Intex pool filters won't move enough water thru the system.
The leisure pool store guy is right. Those intex pumps are debris. Look for a used 1Hp pump or buy one from Harbor Tonnage.
You can unplug the Intex pump and use the new pump to move the water through the Intex filter. That is how I did mine. I have to clean the seep more often because the increased water flow.
Someday I will exactly buy a sand filter and have a really clean funds.

what colors should tubes be for a solar water heating system?
Jun 11, 2008 by Fynnagin F | Posted in Engineering
Solar drive can be used to heat water for a pool by contest water through a series of pipes or tubes. What tint should the pipes be? What other features should this system have to improve its efficiency?
You should invent a form of greenhouse situation around your pipes (which should be matte embargo) so to trap any radiant heat from those pipes. By creating an enclosed aerosphere with the glass, you can contain nearly all heat and thus be darned efficient when heating your pool water.
