I desire to know if my electric will be going up sky high because I have my heater event from about 1am until 4pm when I leave for work and unplug it. Im on a budget scheme on my electric meaning I pay the same amount each month until settlement month in may. I physical in southeast Michigan. I heard alot of people say that my bill will be way up there, some say it may go up but not by much as the newer models are no discrete than using an airconditioner, some say I wont even notice a dissimilitude. Do most electric space heaters put out the same amount of heat?
Nov 08, 2007 by Shay | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I was recently shopping for moving space heaters at Walmart. I notice they range in price from $14-$60. All of the heaters were 1500 watts no essentials what the brand or size of the heater. Since they are all 1500 watts are they putting out the same amount of intensify? Can I get the same heat out of a $14 heater as I could get from say a $40 one?
None of the space heaters listed the BTU achieve on the box.
Basically yes. The disagreement is in the bells and whistles on the heater. For example, I have one that is thermostatically controlled which means it will only concern on when the room temperature drops below a certain even and then it is only putting out 1500 watts. I have another one that provides a security feature that if the heater is accidently tipped over, it will finger itself off and not continue to run. I have still another which rotates the heat without rotating the complete heater. They all still provide the same wattage, but they have different features or BTU yield that increased or decreased the price point.

What's the difference in regular electric space heaters and the Eden pure space heater?
Jul 26, 2008 by Shep | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
Been checking prices online for space heaters and have found some models that run anywhere from $100.00 to $160.00 but when I found this Eden good brand they run up to $380.00 to basically heat the same right and proper footage. Do they heat differently than other makes or are they principled more expensive because of their looks?
they use an infrared quartz heating domain a adverse. They don't suck alot of moisture out of the air, and have a washable drain. (if ou have animals that shed, you should probably irrigation it every 2 weeks or so) They keep the floor to ceiling temps incredibly even, at least the manual says so. In bigger rooms, it's not as straightforwardly. The cabinet that they are in doesn't get hot, except in the front where the the heat in point of fact comes out from, so you can use them for convenient side tables. :) They are said to use only as much electrcity as a coffee maker. They will last from 3-5 years. I didn't at the end of the day notice a drop in my electric bill when I switched to that one from a even space heater. Overall, I'm not terribly impressed, and I don't privation to buy another one.

What is the difference in electric space heaters?

At stores such as Wal-mart or Lowe's and the like you will find all bizarre kinds of electric space heaters they all are 1500w at the max, some are more expensive than others, some are bigger but all are 1500w. Does one put out more awaken than others?
No. Although some may assign that heat better than others, IE. a better fan design or punter grill opening etc. 1500 Watt is the highest worry an average electrical circuit in a home can stand up for. High wattage's require link to a higher load circuit. Since the stores crave to sell sell sell those things, they don't privation you to have to call an electrician to hook it up. If 1500 W won't do it, call your local HVAC train to fix your furnace.

I am using a sum total of 3 1500 watt electric space heaters that cut on and off according to caste of temperature in my home. I don't want to recompense for my electric bill sky rocket, so I am trying to decide whether to go forwards and get my heat pump serviced or to wait and keep using the unimaginative heaters. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
