What do I need to be aware of when using a propane space heater?

I'm operating into a rental house that has a big rectangular metal space heater. It has to be plugged in but it's fueled by propane. That kinda baffles me, but whatever, I've always had CH/AC. My query is what do I need to know about this thing? All I know so far is that I'll indigence a carbon monoxide detector which the re-modelers are already installing.
A lot of space heaters do not coerce electricity to operate, but they have blower fans as an opportunity to help circulate the heat.
Check the rating coat on the heater. It should state the minimum clearances to be maintained from combustibles etc.
These font of heaters work quite well for heating an charitable area. You wont get a lot of benefit from it in rooms off of the pipeline room, but they work pretty well...They are PERFECTLY Unharmed if they are maintained and serviced properly. If they weren't they wouldn't be allowed in homes.

is there a way to clean the line in a propane space heater?
Nov 11, 2008 by murphywt2 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
is there an amiable way to clean out the line/filter in a propane space heater, other than disassemble?
Not effectively no...
Be conscientious especially with copper line. Propane leaves a part on the inside of the line which isn't usually a problem. But if you unsettle or manipulate that line at all, the deposits can travel downstream and gum up the gas valve on the appliance. If you surmise the fuel line has too much of what we call "heavy ends" in it, you are gambler off replacing the line rather than trying to clean it.
If this is the run line you are referring to, it is usually aluminum. You can fire it from the pilot burner and the gas valve and blow it out with compressed air. But there is nothing you can do with it installed on the appliance without risking damaging the gas valve or helmsman assembly...

What works better a electric space heater or propane space heater?

Also if propane is better....is it safe-deposit? Like if you were to use a propane heater in a garage is that safe as in like breathing it?
For heating propane is always more advisedly. It is faster and more efficient.

My bedroom has 3,340 cu.ft. What size (BTU) propane space heater (vented) would I need to keep it warm?

We're thought of getting a counter-flow, direct verbalize propane heater.
I would not use a propane heater innards everted the house. I would go with a simple electric heater, and just axe it on about an hour before you are going to bed. This will give it time to heat the leeway up, and by starting early, youo can buy a smaller, cheaper heater and get away with it.
