Do Halogen Heater use more electricity then other electric heaters?
Feb 09, 2008 by Pill Popper | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Halogen heater seem to stress the room up more then the other electric heaters (oil electric heaters), but do they use more electricity?
Most answerers have missed the purpose, halogen heaters heat by RADIATION, so they set upon you feel warm quickly,
If you erect a spyglass wall between you and the heater it will STILL heat you.
The science.......Radient heaters agitation people, convector heaters heat air.
The supreme scenario is a combination of each type of heat, I feel that is why a cheery open fire in conjunction with central heating makes such a bright room.

How much would it cost to run a electric space heater I have?
Jan 13, 2007 by Chuck | Posted in Engineering
The tension is .22 cents a KWH and the heater is an electric heater 1500 watts. How much per hour to run that heater?
Hmmm could be $0.33 per hour, provided it is on for the absolute hour you measure...

Is it cheaper to run an electric heater or my home's gas heating system?
Dec 29, 2007 by First-time Mommy! | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
We are new homeowners and this is our first winter. Our gas bill is getting fetching high. My husband wants to keep the thermostat down and clog in our electric heater (left over from our apartment days). I think that will upright cost more money. Thoughts?
The get difference varies but I have never seen gas more expensive than electric. My current bills turn electric 4 times dearer. You may have to convert the units if they don't put it on the bill. One decatherm (gas) is about 293 units (electric).
Your keep may be correct if you heat one room with electric, it may be cheaper than heating the whole brothel with gas even at 4:1 cost. Assuming you have doors to avoid heat loss from the room.

How do I make it so my electric water heater heats the water in my new house?
Oct 31, 2006 by cdmounty | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
We rightful moved into our home, and it is not brand new, so we know this heater has worked in the days of old. Do electric heaters have pilot lights? I can hear some occupation when the water is running upstairs, but no heating occurs.
Designate sure the breakers on the main electrical panel are turned on. There is also an impede/reset breaker on most water heaters. Interval the cover and reset this as well. If it still doesn't enthusiasm, the electric coil or coils are probably defective. These can be purchased for about $20-$25 each at Up on Depot. Some water heaters only have one - some have two. Good chances.
