Do i need a natural gas detector if I have a carbon monoxide detector near the gas cooker?

The CO detector will not feeling natural gas.
But you nose will, so your good.
If your worried about a leaking reference, most plumbers use soapy water in a spray courage to find and fix leaks.

Are there any methane/natural gas detectors available online for purchase?
Oct 22, 2007 by Confused about life | Posted in Engineering
Are there any methane/natural gas detection instruments on tap online for purchase that are capable of getting a piece or concentration reading of methane in a sample? I would on the side of something inexpensive. Thanks!
Industrial Orderly is another company that could help you. Inexpensive, however is another issue absolutely. I doubt that you are going to find a device that is going to be "low-priced" and accurate, as well as reliable.

Natural, Combustible gas detectors: do they work?
Sep 17, 2007 by xdarknight923x | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
Interested in purchasing a combustible gas detector. Are these things of use, or does it do more harm than good?
I mean, if (God ban) there's a gas leak in the house, and this thing goes off, wouldn't this possession cause an explosion since there's electricity continuous through it to trigger the light/sound?
Yep, they business. Nope, there's very little danger of the detector causing an bourgeoning. The reason is this...the detector will go into alarm mode LONG before there is enough concentration of gas to be unpredictable. The "lower explosive limit" of a gas is the concentration in air that will let someone have the gas to ignite. Home gas detectors will alarm when the gas reaches about 10% - 25% of the Stoop limit. You will be alerted in plenty of time to take power.

Can natural smells set off the gas alarm attached to a plug-in carbon monoxide detector?

When changing the scraps in the kitchen , the alarm for explosive gas went off! Have deliver assign to that methane from a diaper pail could cause the excitement to sound; was wondering if garbage containing some old catfood, vegetables etc. could do the same.
Performance of the combustible gas detector could be caused by methane generated by decomposition of hydrocarbons such as those you describe. I would regard as, though, the detector would have to be very close to where the methane is generated, and at a level higher than the implication of generation. Methane is somewhat lighter than air, unless is is colder than abutting air.
