What service is required for a Propane Furnace?
Jun 16, 2007 by lovelytatayana | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I am buying a ancestry and it has a propane HVAC furnace which does not have any professional service tags. The sellers stated they followed the owners handbook and have serviced it themselves. I am familiar with Oil burning furnaces but not Propane. Can some one fill me in on if there is required usefulness by a licensed HVAC repair person or is close service ok even if you have no professional experience....
The transformation between propane and natural gas is the orifice that atomizes the gas before its burnt. Propane is a lot cleaner than unaffected gas but most of the things are the same and should be serviced by a trained professional. I'm passive to wager the "service" they did was fluctuate the filters and that's it. Call in a pro and set up a service schedule so not only will you have dovish of mind come heating season, but someone will be accountable for any problems that go wrong.

I have a nordyne propane furnace that wont light?
Dec 03, 2006 by Micheal G | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
my propane furnace wont tolerable. I tested the ignitor and it doesnt seem to have an open in the limit but before i removed it i tested the voltage going to it. the box feeding power to the ignitor says it is a 24v ignitor but only putting out 15v to the ignitor. I searched the internet for the igniter and cant find a roots for united technologies electronic controls. i dont be versed if it is a smart valve. The valve is a G ROBERTSHAW-GRAYSON.any plagiarize would be greatly appreciated
That is a big voltage omit. It depends on your meter the ohms/volt correspondence on some can load the circuit and give you an inaccurate reading. Try delightful the ignitor out and see what your reading is. I doubt the valve is bad, I concoct you may need a new ignitor. I know there are some that have like a slight mirror that reads the color of the ignitor before it allows the valve to turf out d dress on.

How do I install a suspended propane furnace in a greenhouse?
Nov 15, 2006 by MARY B | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I'm structure a 30-by-48-foot greenhouse that came with a Modine furnace. The directions require me only to screw 3/8-inch threaded rods into the module and secure them with nuts. How should I attach the rods to the purlins and how should I pipe the unit? And, finally, how am I supposed to lift 169 pounds off the dregs?
what are the perlins made of wood or metal either way if metal teach through and insert allthread put nut and washers on both sides can even paired nut can really do same with wood
if perlins support bring out rope over perlins and hoist tie off on something once hoisted and can zigzag around to line up to attach

fan on propane furnace turning on and off continualy?
May 29, 2008 by Ray E | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
i have a propane furnace, has been turned down for weeks now so it would not go on, today the blower started turning on and off continualy and I dont conscious why, tried turning off breaker but furnace area got surely warm, turned breaker back on and blower is still prospering on and off, never had this problem before and cant afford a service man, need better please, thanks
I neediness to know how old this furnace is and how its installed and if its a modular or mobile available.
I do not think it is a fan relay, when a fan relay goes out it by either wont work or wont stop. Comming on and off sounds like its an older furnace with a hellical bound fan switch. Ive see this more than once.
Did you have to replace anything on the fuirnace lately? Have you lived in this domicile more than 1 year?
In older non electronic board models of furnaces the indoor blower was turned on when the waken exchange allowed the heat chamber to draw up heat and then at a temperature between 90 and 150 the blower came on. It went off when the temperature in the heating meeting-hall went below the on temperature usually 20' cooler.
I found some of those furnaces would stir the blower in the spring from just the heat from the sun being conductged down through the flue conveyor and into the heat chamber, if the setting was too low on the heat judiciary sensor. Some of these fan switches had rectangular case/box sometimes with a coat sometimes without a cover and a power wire and fan wire always went to them, and it has a mellifluous dial with 2 or 3 small pointers around the dial. the first (LOWEST) Backdrop WAS THE OFF for the Fan the next setting was the on for the fan and the 3rd setting (some did not have this) was the high limit that stopped everything if an over agitation condition started (like if the indoor motor did not run). The imbroglio if you have this type switch is the on and off settings for the motor are too guarded together. Just move them apart and see if this corrects your problem.
Please let me be sure if this helps..
