heating a metal melting furnace, whats a good torch, or burner??

I am making a metal melting furnace to soften down various types of metals. i have everything i need except a zealousness source. i was planning on going with propane, but i wasnt reliable wether to use a burner or a tourch. Second, i wasnt foolproof were to find a good one. please give me a link. thanks

You constant it with Oscilloscope and measuring the power output at a number of frequency when your at resonance, the power out is maxi um, or if you distinguish the Henry's of your coil and the capacitor farads then the following instructions will tell you:

Fr = 1/(2*pi sqr(LC) )

Fr = Resonance Frequency

pi= 3.1415926535

sqr = Quadrilateral root

L= Inductance in Henry's

C = capacitance in Farads

what you do is braze the ends of the oscilloscope send a pulse in the whorl and watch where it spikes at and measure the period marks and multiply it by the oscilloscope settings to get the patch and using the formula :

F= 1/ p

You will get your reasonace frequency of the enwrap.

where can I find a used oil furnace induction unit?

I am distressing to build a metal melting furnace. Any other advice is more than welcome.

My conjecture is nowhere as it sounds like an oxymoron. Either it is an oil burning furnace or it is an induction furnace (electrifying).
You have to consider how much metal you want to melt. If you don't be deficient in to melt more than 2 or 3 pounds max, there are small induction pots at one's fingertips from jewelry supply stores. Though finding them acclimated to will be challenging, eBay and Craig's directory come to mind.
In addition it depends what metal you need to melt. For lead a torch should be more than sufficient, but I don't dream up you'll be able to melt steel.
If you destitution to melt large amounts of bronze for bronze casting intermittently I am sure it will be much more economical to attend a foundry division at an university with a foundry. If none is close you could also see if there is a local art foundry and if you either can pay them for their toil or if you can work for them to pay for using the foundry as well. They only may consider the latter if you have a trail record of good metal work (are you benign with welding?)
