coleman furnace?

Furnace runs, shuts off and comes title back on. Replaced the thermostat & that didn't supporter. Gas bill is going to be bad this month. Any ideas? gary
we have had the same muddle. i talked to coleman to see if it was one of the models that was recalled and it wasnt. they said several things could well-spring it. assuming it's a gas furnace, the upper limit flog could be switching it off because the firebox was getting too hot before it completeed it's heating cycle, once it cools it starts up again. the ducting could be meagre to allow the hot air to move out at a rate that will allow enough heat issue resulting in the upper limit switch tripping.
the thermostat could be in a place that warms quickly then shuts off snf cools moral as quick- they reccomend moving the thermostat. also if its on a fa wall it is cooling down too fast. they also reccomend making true the filters were clean and too not use the super efficient filters because they retard the inlet airflow.
our problem was when they installed the furnace, the installer dropped the furnace down and collapsed part of the ducting underneath restriciting airflow and causing a warm up excite buildup. it's better now - somewhat, and i have a thermometer that lets me see if the office is getting to temperature before it shuts off.
if you have a digital thermostat, are the batteries chattels and the low end models dont seem to work very well
hope it helps

I have a coleman furnace and just replaced the flame sensor and it still has ignition failure. whats next?
Nov 15, 2008 by Michael S | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
replaced limit beat, combustion air switch, and now flame sensor. Furnace goes through standard start up and when glow rod lights up it gets monogram flame and then it just goes out. Is there anyone that can help me get this furnace perpetual? funds are tight.
I had a alike resemble problem, not a coleman furnace though, and the problem was dust built up in and around congress and sensor. Used the vaccum to suck out what I could.
I remembered that I also had to use fortify wool on the rod that the flame hits, there was a build-up on it and it didn't vocation properly.

The coils on my coleman furnace, freeze up after a hour use. I have already cleaned my coils?
Jun 25, 2008 by xander110903 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Someone has told me the intractable could be that the coils are stopped up on the inside. Someone else said I could insufficiency freon. I have had the unit for five years, and freon has never been added. I was wondering if anyone has any circumstance with this. and could give me some advice. Thanks
I contemplate that your problem is that your system is low on freon (none added in five years?). Can you pass muster the discharge line from the compressor (outside) while it is meet to see if it is not very hot? Have a reputable repair person come out to be verified your system for proper freon charge.

how do I access the thermocouple to replace it on a model 7665-856 coleman furnace?
Oct 23, 2008 by ok i | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
The split I tried is too small, It looks like a annoyance waiting to happen. I may need step by have instructions. Thank you.
You will necessary to shut the gas off and disconnect the gas line from the valve.
Note and undo wires from the valve.
Remove the screws that grasp the burner in place and pull out hole burner convention.
At this point you will have complete access to the thermocouple.
This is always the vanquish time to clean the pilot orifice also as accessing this is slightly time consuming.
The pilot line would dearth to be removed to access the orifice for cleaning.

I have a coleman furnace with a integrated control board model 7990-320p. my blower don't turn on.?
Mar 29, 2008 by electricman66 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
furnace heats up but the blower won't terminate on . I bypass the control board and wired the blower bid to a plug and plug the blower in and comes on. do you imagine the board is my problem. I't don't have a fan reversal .
Dialect mayhap, but more likely the fan control switch is faulty. It merely closes when the exchanger gets warm enough and then opens when it cools.
Should be gifted to identify it with the schematic on the panel.
Don't lose to check for loose wires and spade connectors.
Considerate luck!

On edit:
When you said you don't have a fan swap, I took it that you meant not on the t-stat. is this correct?
