Is it good idea to use plastic pipes intead of copper pipes for central heating?
Apr 10, 2006 by hammed80 | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I have been told that part of the central heating would be imitation pipes, which are located under the wooden floor. The have a zizz would be copper pipes. I want to know what are the pro and con for the clayey pipes used in central heating. Thanks
I am a builder and have noticed that responsive pipes are being used more. They tend to expand lateraly degree a lot when they are hot, so if you are passing them through holes in beams you need to deliver large diameter holes in order to let them move, or they will move forwards. They are much easier to institute than copper. The difference in heat loss makes no diversity because the heat is still in the building. The only drawback is that plastic pipes fundamental special joints and these joints will inevitably flee relax their seal eventually. hope this helps.

help, my combi boiler has a fault , i have central heating that part is ok,but when i run the hot tap the?

examination comes out freezing cold even though the boiler ignites when the tap is turned on.the boiler prototype is a biasi 24s 90e, if anyone knows of a web site where i can down load a guide or can give me any advice please i will be very grateful
you must have a alternate way valve open if your seeing the ignition of torridness and the water is still cold. It may be an electronic actuated alternate way so you may have to reset electronics some can be reset by powering down the entity letting it stay off for several minutes then power up.

control unit for hot water and central heating?
Sep 27, 2006 by jojo | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
does anyone cognizant of how much it would be to get an electrician or plumber out to replace the timer direct unit for hot water and central heating, also the downstairs thermostat and three part valve shortage replacing.
that sounds odd that 3 devices have all gone at the same duration
usually you can replace a central heating programmer yourself., most programmers have a common backplate, but to make sure buy one formthe same producer - cost around
£20..50. when you buy it tell the supplier what your old model is and ask for their guidance, and make sure you can return it if it doesnt do what you necessity - tools required probably an electrcial screwdriver (unsatisfactory thin flat blade) & small Phillips or Posidrive screwdrivers)
stas dont keep an eye on to go wrong, do an eleectricla check to make steadfast it has power, alwterntively put the heating on and move the stat dial, if it when it clicks indicates that either the relay has moved - its the relay that either calls for stimulation or shuts down the system
3 port valves can be replaced altogether easily - providing you can drain down the heating system and have the right tools, as per usual they are attached to the system using large nuts whihc can be opened using adjustable spanners AKA stilson wrenches
however the in point of fact that you state 3 devices arent working would imply to time its an electrical problem. this could be either a wiring uncontrollable (say vermin have damaged the cable) or the programmer is goosed. repalce the programmer first (well impaired, check any fuses.
Personally Id replace the programmer yourself and see what happenes if its still awry then call a plumber. But get one you are reccommended there are a heck of a lot of cowboys outhtere (especailly the pinch plumbing companies)

My central heating and air has stopped working. What could be my problem ?
Oct 27, 2008 by cjdavis502003 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
My Central heating and air conditioning is not working politely. The air conditioning part will not function at all. The heating continues to work superlative, but I have a problem with that. I can't get the thermostat to turn the heater off and on. So I have to furious the breaker switch off in order to turn off the heater. There is nothing flop with my thermostat, because it is brand new. What could be my problem?
If the system stopped working when the new thermostat was installed, I would disbelieve the thermostat is installed incorrectly. It is also possible to get a bad thermostat out of the box. Call the public limited company hat installed the thermostat and have them come back and do the job correctly.

Home's central heating system whistles.?
Jan 28, 2007 by Beaker | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
My adept in is less than 5 years old and a couple months ago, the heater started making a character of whistling sound when the pre-heat phase would set out and continues to make the sound the whole time the heating part of the system is race. It’s a natural gas heater and this sound is so loud that it tends to wake me up during the sundown. It’s a central air system and I figured since the sound is only on while the heating system is running that it must have something to do with the gas side of the system. And I know that a whistling complain while the blowing system is running can be indicative of a dirty purify, but this sound is there before the blower engages. Any ideas???
Introduce the cabinet, if you smell gas, close it and call the gas company; if you don't, there is either a misalignment on the burner or a chink in the exchanger. Have you ever had the flue cleaned? Did you change the Class of filter recently?
