Problem with central heating?
Dec 03, 2006 by Lolly9 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Arrogate. Any heating engineers out there?
My central heating boiler is clonking and banging and making a whooshing earshot. The upstairs radiators were warm, but the downstairs ones all uncordial even tho inlet pipe warm. The boiler is now clonking etc on domestic top-grade. I have turned everything off now. I did bleed the radiators initially as I observation the problem might be air in the system. Thank you.
Somehow, you have got a encumber of air in your system. The whooshing noise is water and air passing through the empty. I suggest that you fix a hose pipe to a drain off in the vicinity the boler, and let the water run out slowly. Do this with the boiler off. You will har the air coming out with the O. you won't shift this airlock by bleeding the radiators.

I am looking for suggestion on central heating to a proposed extension to my bungalow. Have no problem with paying a grudging fee (or, to negotiate the work) for the advice but looking for someone who knows what he is talking about!
