Central Heating boiler will not come on after drain down?
Oct 09, 2006 by Rolfie | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I drained down my central heating to modulation the TRV's. When I refilled it the boiler will not come on. It is the type with a basic and secondary circuit that also heats my water. There is still a lot of air in the system and I have been constantly bleeding each radiator in wrong favour. It is because there is still too much air in the system or should I be looking for something else?
Possibly a plumber

Oil central heating boiler?
Jun 22, 2008 by rowdyyates@btinternet.com | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have reasonable received a quote of 60p a litre for 28sec central heating oil. My boiler is now 10 years old, I air force it myself, cleaned out and new nozzle fitted two months ago. Agreed-upon the price of fuel oil I would like to make it more economic and wonder if you have any tips? What about any special heat fascinating coatings for the baffle plates or whatever?
Thankyou,
Rowdyyates.
New oil fired boilers now come as condensing units, they glean latent heat from the flue gases to profession more efficiently.
Replacing your old boiler for a new one will save you on fuel.
Consult an oftec intrigue.

What use is a central heating boiler without a timer?
Aug 18, 2008 by SarahB | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I've moved into a certain where the boiler just has a thermostat and an on/off switch, but no timer. How do I allow to pass sure the water's hot and ready to use when I wake up in the mornings, without having liberal the heating/hot water on all night?
And why even install such a useless boiler in the first wrong? What's its advantage? I suppose it's cheap to install (although certainly not cheap to run!)
Whoever installed it was a numpty. MIne is the other way in perimeter, I have a boiler with a timer but no thermostat. Which also I couldnt believe when I moved in. Peradventure we should swap boilers or something ?

How much would a new gas central heating boiler cost?
Feb 03, 2007 by strawbsatheart | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
We upstanding recently moved into a house and the boiler and hot water tank which came with it are over 12 years old and no longer line properly. The water never fully heats up and we're shocked of lukewarm showers! How much would it cost to replace the boiler and hot drinking-water tank. I'm unsure of what kind of heating system we have currently but I muse over it's an immersion heater, but I really haven't a intimate! I'm sorry if this isn't enough detail but its all the relevant tidings that I have!
A mix Boiler would be anything between £500 to £700 depending how big a system you have.with this boiler you don.t have any water tanks or immersion heater.
