Should walls near boilers/hot-water heaters be left bare (stone)?
Mar 05, 2008 by JS | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I've been covering the [unfinished but painted] stone walls of our utility cell with first a very thin/cheap layer of some kind of pressed wood, covered by tile timber. Is it a bad idea, fire-hazard-wise, to cover the compass right near our hot water heater? The wall's as a matter of fact around a couple of feet from the unit.
The most superbly product you can use around these areas is Type "X" drywall. Its avaliable at any habitation center and is fire rated by underwriters laboratory for valid such conditions.

Problem with my hot water boiler?
Mar 19, 2007 by Mitan | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have a Danfoss exemplar AT valve, a wilo gold 60 enthuse c intensify and an Ideal classic Fan flued gas boiler.
The programmer, which is away from the water tank, is set appropriately but whether the heating or hot water is programmed to run across on only the heating does (even when it is programmed for hot water!)
What is wrong and how do I fix it?
But the water is NOT being intensified for my bath so there must be something wrong? Surely???
Sounds like you neediness to replace your 3 port valve ( if the programmer is set to DHW only and the CH comes on then it's stuck in the heating angle
