Okay Yahooers, I am looking for a working service that moves used steam boilers (400000 btus) from one building to another, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Surely not a common profession!
I would start in the yellow pages where you animate and look under plumbers that specialize in pressurized steam. If the listings are not that well-defined, look for general plumbers and just give some a call to see if they will do it. If not, they can doubtlessly get you the number of someone that can.
You could also try contacting some general contractors. Something that ample will need some serious re-work to get it out; you may even need to remove some walls or floors to get it out.
Gracious Luck!

I am planning to put combi boiler in outdoor building, is that ok?
Jul 27, 2006 by Zee99 | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I have two alfresco buildings, one used for bins and other for electric & gas meters. I am planning to put the combi boiler in the bin out of doors building. These two adjacent outdoor buildings are still connected to the theatre via a porch, so all pipes will be covered & indoors. I am not trappings the combi in the kitchen as I do not have much room and also kitchen is at front of bawdy-house and flue would be over the front door. Whereas the flue in the outdoor building would not.
I about that it is OK but you must make sure that you build a cupboard around the boiler and grow into sure that the wires are inside the cupboard. This fulfills the grade standards and will be beneficial especially if you go onto sell the undertaking

can my landlord place the building thermostat in the boiler room of the basement?

My publican has placed a new thermostat in the boiler room of the basement and now we get very diminutive heat in the apartments upstairs because the boiler office is the warmest place in the building. Is he allowed to do this?
Anyone know where I can purchase signage (no reentry, boiler room, etc) for a building?

I am looking for no reentry, no smoking, boiler cell and cellar signage for a SMALL building. I've browsed all over the internet. I contemplation local department stores like Domestic Depot, Officemax and Lowe's would have it but they don't. Any suggestions?
WW Grainger has a lotta premade signs. I went to their situation (www.grainger.com) and there were 1491 responses under that category. Most fitting size cities have at least one Grainger outlet, generally speaking several, and they have a catalog too, or of course there's also online. If they don't have it online, they have access to word for word millions of things that aren't listed online, contained in a dozen catalogs, so give 'em a call. (And you hope only Walmart had mastered worldwide logistics. Who do you about factories call when a bushing on a $500,000 stamping vehicle gives out, stopping a whole production line, or a critical valve in an oil refinery finally cracks?) Granger isn't that frugal, but it's good quality stuff.
They also have a big competition, McMaster-Carr. www.mcmaster.com/
Or, online only but signs only, there's this seam. http://www.mysafetysign.com/index.asp
