has anyone with cat allergies gotten a rabbit air or whirlpool air purifier?
Feb 06, 2008 by button89 | Posted in Allergies
ive narrowed it down to those 2-the whirlpool because it has the most skilfully consumer reports score and the rabbit air undertaking it has amazing customer reviews (but not many that say anything about cat allergies). If you have either of these 2, what have the results been for you?
Acknowledgement you!
i bought an air purifier - not the ones you mentioned - but a like one. It definetly helps, my house smells fresher and my allergies are cured. What convinced me was a friend of mine who has SEVERE cat allergies and could never keep for more than 10 minutes at my house - now he can stay without a mess as long as he is in the same room as the purifier - go figure. I highly suggest them, they are wonderful!

I just purchased a Whirlpool Whispure air purifier and in the back of the system there is styrofoam. Help?

The operator's manual doesn't in the styrofoam nor does it tell me to remove it. My suspicion on a under discussion is the following: Should it be there and will it operate safely if it remains there?
if it is meant to be there, then it cannot be removed very likely.almost all products have a 1-800 number for you to call if you have questions, and some direct 24-7,or call where the product was purchased,or look at the model to see if it is present.if you have doubts, then do not operate until you are sure.

Please reccoment best Air Purifier for 320 sq ft room (prerer compact/slim one)?
Jan 09, 2007 by Leonard R | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I have been researching this for a while now. I cannot seem to find a uncommonly good air purifier that is not very bulky, yet can accomodate 320 sq foot scope and has good quality. For example, Whirlpool's air purifiers seem to have arrant reviews. For they only have models for 450 and 500 sq feet abide and they are very bulky. I see many tower models, but they are mostly small (for rooms less than 200 sq feet). Please relieve. Thanks.
I am looking for a model that is available in the Connected States.
The crush air purifier for smaller areas is the Fresh Air to Go by ecoquest. They have university testing proving the effectiveness and they are also certified by NASA as the same technology toughened in the space program to clean the air in the space commute and space stations. This unit is very small and carriable and can be used in your car, office, single room, etc. I themselves have the larger unit in my home and it works lofty. They are redesigning this particular model which is coming out in the airiness of 07 so I would wait for the upgrade. You can get more information here.

Where can I find a cut-to-fit replacement carbon pre-filter for my HEPA air purifier?
Sep 29, 2007 by Aurora Belora | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
In the days we bought this stuff for $10 a box and got (3-4?) cut pieces out of it. We bought it at Lowes in Burbank, CA. But, we've moved to a new metropolis and don't know where to find it locally. The local munitions stores don't seem to carry it and I'm having a realistic time finding it on-line. Could be because it's behindhand and I'm tired and my "google-fu" is feeble right now.
This looks like the air purifier that we have and be the same model:
http://www.amazon.com/Whirlpool-Whispure-450-Purifier-AP45030S/dp/B000ELQMPM/
I'm not looking for the whirlpool label since it appears to cost about three times as much. I'd rather pay a fraction of the guerdon and cut them to fit just as we have since we bought the darned thing.
Can anyone underscore me in the right direction???
I'll sham in moving you have no Lowes or HD local to you?
Certainly they have websites for catalog/ online ordering. Evident to me is begin that way; but you might also connect with the MFG. for links to dealers; an AC contracting coterie; etc.
Initially you might not be lucky, but that's why we are gifted with pick; tenacity; and often a desire to SHOP. It might also be that ONCE at least; you'll have to bit the bullet and pay a bit more.

Does anyone recommend air purifiers for their home? I know Hepa filter kind are the best...any thoughts?
Nov 15, 2006 by lisapt06 | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I'm all things a Friedrich or Whirlpool...according to Consumer Reports. I already have knowledge of that Sharper Image-Ionic Breeze and Orick filterless cleaners are all reasonable gimmicks.
If you're NOT low on legal tender Hepa is the way to go, I got my new filter today. So you obviously have an Internet acquaintance, which is good because it would seem nearly impossible to find the right refine if you had to drive and look. I only have to change mine once a year, but let me say this it's enough, at $65.00 each, plus your pre-drip which ran me $22.00 each. I have 2 Ionic Breeze machines, which get smutty quicker, like once a week or so, they make a obliging of funny noise, and you can smell the effect they have on the air, I use them in smaller areas, but if you have smoke and dust Hepa is betta! Examine the price of the replacement filters for the machine you opt for on, I saw some of them priced at $100 each, just for a replacement weed out on a home unit.
And actually today I took my Oreck and put it in my garage it's off to the repair seek once again, it's the third time, I don't believe I will ever buy another, but they look strict.
One final answer:My favorite is called Huntress Quiet flo
