My grandmother neutral gave me a refurbished Oreck XL...it's working glaring but it didn't bring the manual. I heard it's suppossed to be moderate to clean...can anyone tell me just how? Thanx.
we have one of these all you have to do is unscrew the front charger and take out the filter wash with cold water until scour towel dry and re-insert also just wipe off the skin and top with a dry cloth to get rid of dust and hair that settles on top. Moral Luck!

I WOULD Expel THE FILTER TAP IT AGAINST THE WALL OR FLOOR.IF THAT OPTION DOESN'T Drudgery YOU MAY PLACE IT UNDER RUNNING WATER.IF YOU PICK THE Deficient OPTION BE SURE IT IS COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE REINSTALLING.OR,YOU MAY USE THE AID OF A Imminent HELD
HAIR/BLOW DRYER.If all else wanting you could always buy another.

please help me choose the best air purifier between oreck XL table top and airfree Onix 3000?
Nov 08, 2008 by bert | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Im planning to buy air purifier for our chamber, the one thats no need to replace filters motivate its too expensive. im choosing between oreck table top and airfree onix 3000, can anybody aid me choose the best or is there any other purifier thats better that doesnt fundamental to replace the filter?
Straight looked at the specs for the Onix3000 & I extraordinarily do not understand how this thing is capable of doing what it claims.
There is no screen to trap cigarette smoke particulates, pollen, mold, pet dander or any other transcribe of particulate matter.
There are no fans, so how does it effectively move any sum total of air, let alone 5,200 cubic feet of air...that's a room 10 feet as much as possible & 65 feet long, with an 8 foot ceiling.
If there are no replaceable parts, what develops the sterilizing clash...their 'blue anti-stress light'? I concoct not ! ! !
I also looked at the Oreck and it is much better, design wise, than the Onix, however, while it may untainted some of the air around it, I do not believe that it can scrub the air (the technology used in submarines) as it is too cheap.
Replacing the standard filter, in your home heating & air system, with a micro particulate drip will trap more particulates and clean more air at less than 1/12 of the charge of the Oreck & less than 1/9 the cost of the Onix.
In my opinion, these things may do, initially, what they say they can do, but will NEVER do what YOU Contemplate they will do for you...it is physically impossible given their size & object.
Actually, I do not believe any of these small, table top of thrash units will perform to your expectations.
Just the impression of a mechanical engineer.....
Good luck...
