Can I wash and reuse my air purifier filters?
Mar 07, 2008 by katie k | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I have a Honeywell air purifier. I washed the carbon pre-gauze and the inside HEPA filter. I just be familiar with though that you are not supposed to reuse these. Can anyone tell me why? It seems that they should still be usable.
Adding sprinkle to the bacteria, mold, mildew and other organic substance that has been trapped in your filters will cause them to grow unusually fast. There is no way to kill 100% of the living complication in the filter. When it starts to multiply, it will clog the sift or your air filtration system will blow it back into your home. Don't ever reuse HEPA fashion filters.
There are MUCH better air purification systems present than the HEPA syle filtration machines. The most beneficent are "active" purifiers vs. the "tractable" syle. Active units can pardon the air in a home even when it doesn't pass through the portion. Passive units only treat the air that actually enters and passes through its filters or over the plates. I hugely recommend the active style of purifier.

How to clean HEPA filter in air purifier???
Jun 05, 2008 by Nicole | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I neutral bought a Honeywell Air Purifier off of craigslist.com. It works fine but gives off a casuistic smell of the house where I bought it from. It bothers me! The ads online for the air purifier say you don't supplant the filters but merely wash them. How do I do so? Just run them under flood?
Run the HEPA drain under warm running water and allow to dry preferably where it can get air from both sides of cloth, do not dry in direct sunlight this can damage the filter, it is most qualified in a warm room, can be dried in a dishdrainer if viable this way it gets air from both sides and will dry fast without promoting mold/mildew Virtuousness Luck !

How To Tell If you Need A New Filter For Air Purifier?
Dec 26, 2008 by JohnHancock | Posted in Allergies
Hey folks,
I was donn a HoneyWell 52500 air purifier a while back from a friend. I'm not sure how much it was old or if the filter or pre-filter was replaced because his parents gave it to him.
Is there anyway I can reprimand if it needs a new prefilter and/or a new filter? Together they cost wellnigh $100, so I'd rather not just buy it for the heck of it.
Thanks!
