Can I wash and reuse my air purifier filters?
Mar 07, 2008 by katie k | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I have a Honeywell air purifier. I washed the carbon pre-drip and the inside HEPA filter. I just be familiar with though that you are not supposed to reuse these. Can anyone tell me why? It seems that they should still be usable.
Adding drench to the bacteria, mold, mildew and other organic worry that has been trapped in your filters will cause them to grow darned fast. There is no way to kill 100% of the living theme in the filter. When it starts to multiply, it will clog the clarify or your air filtration system will blow it back into your home. Don't ever reuse HEPA manner filters.
There are MUCH better air purification systems at than the HEPA syle filtration machines. The outdo are "active" purifiers vs. the "gentle" syle. Active units can exculpate the air in a home even when it doesn't pass through the element. Passive units only treat the air that actually enters and passes through its filters or over the plates. I immensely recommend the active style of purifier.

How to clean HEPA filter in air purifier???
Jun 05, 2008 by Nicole | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I merely bought a Honeywell Air Purifier off of craigslist.com. It works fine but gives off a skilful smell of the house where I bought it from. It bothers me! The ads online for the air purifier say you don't substitute the filters but merely wash them. How do I do so? Just run them under not ring true?
Run the HEPA screen under warm running water and allow to dry preferably where it can get air from both sides of strainer, do not dry in direct sunlight this can damage the filter, it is greatest in a warm room, can be dried in a dishdrainer if accomplishable this way it gets air from both sides and will dry fast without promoting mold/mildew Virtuousness Luck !

Air purifier?
Dec 26, 2007 by n2it | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I recently purchased a Honeywell Tranquillity Clean air purifier with permanent filters.
I ran hot water over the filters in a tarn of hot water just like the instructions said to.
When we dipped a clarify b tidy up glass in the water after cleaning the filters you couldn't sense any dirt or anything else.
Is this normal or could the air purifier not be properly working?
The purifier itself also emits an odor almost identical to a wall plug-in space heater, is this routine?
ssssssseems like it is working well why so negative.all is well in humidifier land bekieve me because something is working you can't maintain your luck take it with pride i have a clean air filter a stalker and i have to pay 40 dollars every 6 months just to get the replacement filters goodluck with yours .

It says it only fits a (13X13) apartment .. the room I want to use this for is a school classroom that is atleast 20X20. If i put this purifier in a fleck i believe the air is at its worse, will it work for a 13X13 area from that significance forward or does this product become completely unserviceable when its in a room any larger then (13X13).
Also, i am trying to find an air purifier in the $100-$150 for a larger sized elbow-room, so if you have other suggestion please list
How To Tell If you Need A New Filter For Air Purifier?
Dec 26, 2008 by JohnHancock | Posted in Allergies
Hey folks,
I was postulated a HoneyWell 52500 air purifier a while back from a friend. I'm not sure how much it was acquainted with or if the filter or pre-filter was replaced because his parents gave it to him.
Is there anyway I can let something be known if it needs a new prefilter and/or a new filter? Together they cost scarcely $100, so I'd rather not just buy it for the heck of it.
Thanks!
