My room air conditioner is blowing evaporated water into the room. Why?
Jul 07, 2007 by truelori | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
We have an air conditioner we bought very recenty. It's a insignificant window unit. We have been running it several hours a day, but not all the unceasingly a once. Right now the temperature outside is in the mid-80s, and the humidity surface is 35 percent.
The air conditioner is blowing large amounts of drench INTO the room. It comes out as evaporated water. I cleaned out the damp I could see, but then when I turned it back on, large amounts of wet air came into the room again.
It seems to be installed decorously -- I am going to try to tilt it a bit more outside. Is there any other think why this would be blowing wet air into the room? Should I call for service? We're going to have a kindle wave this week so this is very important.
Thanks!!
Yes, there is fizzy water be illogical under the condenser. What do I do about it? Thanks so much!
If the debilitate is not clogged then check the evaporator coil and screen. If the filter or coil is dirty then the blower motor sucks absolutely hard picking up water and throwing it everywhere or not letting it outflow. Also the drain could be incorrect. If the drain is under negative require (motor pulls or sucks in the same space as gone) then you need a trap. Hope this helps!!!

What would happen if you install a room air conditioner not in a window?
Sep 03, 2007 by davidsethzemon | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
Living in an 11x12 college campus dorm, and I scarcely bought a 5,200 BTU Air Condition by Haier for the room. Its a "room air conditioner"; theoretically able to cool the room and install in a breeze (no pun intended) with its "adroit snap" install kit. Problem is it won't fit in the window and the "spry snap" kit is essentially a "far-sighted-snap-piece-of-junk." What would materialize if we let the unit rest on the window sill- not indeed connected to the outside but still cooling the room. What problems/solutions would this resuscitate on? Thanks in advance...
Liking the answers so far, but I require to explain...there is no hose leading out of the machine. Its basically a box with pour out convers on the back and front. Even if its sitting in the window, only the back half of the organization is outside. How does the water drip regardless fundamentally or out with no hose?
It's accepted to drip water all over the floor.

What is a good brand for a portable room air conditioner?
Jun 15, 2006 by Sonia | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
Looking for a kind-hearted quality, portable room air conditioner.
we bought one at up on depot, cant remember the name....what the directions did not confirm you is that you need to remove the screen in the window before you interpolate the ventilation panel and hose, otherwise, the hot air blows back into the hose and the whole fetich overheats. (guess how i found that out :)

Where can I find a room air conditioner that doesn't require a window?
Sep 10, 2008 by summergal | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I have terrible allergies/ congestion all the time. In my dorm room there is no air conditioning and it's been about 90+ degrees in there. The window air conditioners won't m considering the window is full sized. I can barely respire in my dorm room so where can I get a cheap air conditioner that doesn't require a window. The fan isn't working what so ever. Thanks =].
Single room air conditioner that doesn't go in window?

My room has windows that close-matched sideways so most window air conditioners won't trade. I was wondering if there were any single room air conditioners that didn't go in windows. I am not looking for a swamp cooler either as we already have enough humidity in the air where we dwell. I would like to spend less than $200 dollars, but any suggestions would benevolent.
Here's some they have at Butt. Most of the portable ones are pretty expensive. Correspond it out.

You could do what I did before I broke down and bought a small... it's called "red neck air conditioning." You take a uninterrupted fan and put a flat cake pan full of ice in front of it. The fan blows the cold air off the ice as it dissolve.... It works, and ice doesn't expenditure extra.... but it works for an emergency, lol! It also gets a lot of snarky comments from guests....
