Where to buy air conditioner cover?
May 11, 2007 by chipmaker | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I've announce through answers about covering out door air conditioner unit. A brace of suggestions here and there on the type of cover. But no one actually says anything about where to get one. None of the big box stores kidnap such a cover. The only alternatives are online stores. I would like to be sense the cover before plonking down about $70 for a cover. Anyone has any good recommendation?
Thanks
Thanks for all your answers. I should have said I charged in California and get no snow. I am mainly trying to nip in the bud leaves and such from getting through the rather wide top grills. I saw this on ebay, but preferably of springing $40 for it, I think I'll cut out a layer of weedblocker and anchor it down with weedblocker "staples".
I'm not the seller, but this is the one which gave me the belief.

i Don't Promote Covering them,People forget and run the a/c and blow it up.
Practical Hint: Do Not Run the A/C With The Cover on.
YOu Will Burn up the Compressor.
Seen Someone Lose once and That's All it Takes sometimes.
Depending if it has HP Safety or not.
Re: Painters Covered the A/c segment While Painting a House. Luckilly the unit i had installed the year above-named had a Safety device! i just pushed the reset button and they were Cooling Again!

How much area would be window air conditioner cover if it's 5000 BTU?
Jul 14, 2007 by Paula K | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
I homelessness to buy a window unit for my living room. Someone is selling a 5000 BTU part but I can't figure out how much space that covers. Does anyone with know know if it will cover a 15 X 10 living lodge?
A 5000 BTU part will work fine in your living room. If the module this someone is selling is over two years old and is not dirt cheep, buy a new one. Look for around, a unit this size goes for around $150.00 or less. Scrutiny with Home Depot, Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Finest Buy, places like this.

What should I do about the cover on my air-conditioner?
Apr 11, 2008 by Jane T | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I virtuous bought a condo and it hasn't had any updated delineate. Its pretty 70's. It has an air-conditioner on the top of the living room close off. It has a cover that is painted white just like the fold up. I would like to do something with it to make it look nice and I thirst for to also paint the walls. The cover sticks out about 5 inches. What should I do with it and what are some fashionable colors to paint our walls?
I would advisable you to change a new air conditioner.
Since the cover has been painted over,
I would assume the air conditioner must be pretty old.
It is power inefficiency and may publish loud noises,
old wires may be dangerous too.
A new air conditioner can eliminated all the unrealized
problems, and save you cost of doing anything on
the old cover.
Cadaverous pink, light green or bright yellow are
all harmonious trendy now. Nevertheless, off white
is always good for any trendy color tack
you put in your room.

How to cover and seal outside of wall air conditioner.?
Oct 24, 2008 by SDlizard71 | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
How do i cover a collapse air conditioner to keep out cigarette smoke from neighbors? It comes into my condo even though I weatherstripped the door but it's also coming in through the ac vents surface.
This is not due to the a/c being on. Because there are vents outside, the air is coming inside through them while it's off. I have not been accomplished to find a way to close the vents. The "box" exterior is where the coils are for the a/c.
try closing the casing air vent, then you will be recirculating and cooling only the air from your condo.
