Oct 20, 2007 by jack | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
well our kith and kin have a honeywell air cleaner. and we have no use of it no more. so we were thinking about just putting it on our drive way to see whats the greatest offer. the thing is that we dont know if its unauthorized or what not. cuz in minnesota u have to register something for garage sales.
In South Africa we have a papper called the litter mail.
All second hand goods are sold in it.
Its a weekly papper.
Perhaps you have something like this?

I have a Honeywell Electronic Air cleaner. I have a question about putting the cells back in.?
Dec 16, 2007 by Johnycomelately | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I took the cells out to make a clean breast them, unfortunately i didn't notice how they were positioned when i took them out. I announce the manual and it says to point the arrows of the cells (there is a arrow pointing edge on on the back of each cell) downstream. I'm not sure what that means. On one side of the cells there is a provable flat part and the the other side there is a indented section. Does anyone recognize which one goes on top? As a point of reference the air filters are on the hand side of the box, so i'm not sure if the arrows should be facing that, i have a fancy the instructions would just make it that simple.
Also, when i put them back in the easygoing isn't going back on when i switch it to on. IF anyone has any experience with this please let me distinguish.
Also, to clean them i put them in the dishwasher, if anyone has a better way let me know.
I do not favour using the dishwasher. One customer I have did that and the hot water warped the apartment plates causing them to short out. A hose should be choice and let them dry.The arrows point towards the furnace. Also when you turn it back on the lantern will not be on until the fans runs on the system. You can also push the test button in first a see if it clicks.

Honeywell Air Filter question for my house?
Nov 30, 2008 by DKNY D | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Hi, I have recently installed Honeywell mock-up 2200 air cleaner in my house, and uses FC200E1037 20x25x5 air weed out. It says MERV 11 what is this mean? Also how often do I dire to change the filter? I have 1500 sq ft house with 2 dogs and grown up. No one smokes. But get dusty due to the dogs I suppose. Thanks. OH, and if since I installed this system, do I not longer extremity to change the previous air filter (22x22x1 in bigness) nor install anything in there?
Percipience MERV or the Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value.

I'm dependable only a service technician should change the filter as it contains fiberglas. If you reach to take the task on ....wear a disposable camouflage just to be safe.
Check the filter according to the air cleaner use vade-mecum. It should say.
I couldn't find anything within Honeywell site FAQ to assist you.

I have an old electronic air cleaner attached to our furnace. How do I know if it works and is safe to use?
Jun 05, 2008 by Cheech1998 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
The furnace and air cleaner say Across the board Electric. But there is also a piece that says Honeywell? There was a disposable 16x20 cloth inside next to the heavy metal filter.
Odds are the power give is out and it doesn't work. The older ones generated too much ozone and they have to be updated with a newer power fill. But it can be done.
Sometimes the insulators on the cells go bad or the fins or wires discontinuity and they have to be repaired.
It is likely a Honeywell that was the most popular of the electronic air cleaners.
You could avert it on and see if it collects dust.
But I have seen many people didn't scarcity to pay to fix and just stuck a filter in instead.
They aren't reduced. Last I checked I think a new was around $650.
