I would like to keep my expenditure under $200. No matter how much I vacuum I still accumulate a lot of dust which is why I'm looking for an air purifier.
Consumer Reports latest culmination recommends the Whirlpool AP250.

Why doesn't anyone produce a combined hepa filter air cleaner into a computer chassi?

By increasing airflow through the PC and adding hepafilters, one can get cleaner indoor air and cheaper electrical bills.
Yes,that would be delicate!

Ionizer or Hepa air cleaner which removes smoke odors better ?
May 08, 2007 by dadchin | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Hepa can only expunge the smoke if the smoke reaches the hepa filter--can't get smoke and smoke sniff that lingers in nooks and crannies. A plain old Ionizer will only hands in removing the visual smoke--it is a particulant. Again, both technologies are based on resigned air purification--the air problem must make it way to these type of units in law for them to be effective.
The best answer for odors is powerful air purification, which is utilized by a FreshAir by Ecoquest. The molecules and oxidizers go out from the portion (which is the size of a small stereo speaker) like on a be after & destroy mission up to 3,000 sq. feet.
I differentiate this because of an experience I had regarding the need to remove smoke odor: I had a impaired toaster that would not pop up the toast properly. My daughter put bread in it and then port side the house forgetting about the toaster being on. When I go home 1 hour later, I walked in the theatre and saw a 4 foot high smoke layer in my caboose with the toaster looking very red. To make a long gag short, I put my FreshAir unit on high approach (sanitization), left the house for 2 hours. When I returned available, the visual smoke was gone and the smoke ordor was greatly dimished. The next day I ran the part on high again for another 2 hours and after that, smoke odor was perfectly gone. I love my FreshAir constituent...without it, I wouldn't have let my daughter have a cat stay in the concert-hall. Hope you find this helpful.

Can anyone recommend a good air purifier/cleaner for the bedroom that is reasonably priced?
Apr 03, 2008 by redwine | Posted in Other - General Health Care
I have quite bad allergies and am looking into getting a Hepa Air filter/cleaner/purifier for valid my bedroom (since I can't afford to do the whole house).
Can you give me your opinions of which works well for you and the expenditure ?
Thanks
Hi Redwine
The only poser you'll find with a HEPA filter is that they can be quite noisy. So if you are looking for one for your bedroom, skip town sure you take this into account.
I believe if you go to http://www.houseairpurifiers.net they have some info there that should pointless you in the right direction.
Hope this helps.
